The parade, which includes over 600 riders, 16 floats, and 45 marching groups, was organized by Blaine Kern Sr., of float-building company Kern Studios, before his son Brian Kern took over when it returned in 2013. This year, Saints Hall of Famer Tyrone Hughes rode as Grand Marshal and entrepreneur Ron Bienvenu reigned as King.

NEW ORLEANS — It was a spooky Saturday night in New Orleans as the Krewe of Boo Parade rolled through the Marigny, French Quarter, and CBD.
The parade first rolled in 2007 as a benefit for Hurricane Katrina relief. It was organized by Blaine Kern Sr., of float-building company Kern Studios before his son Brian Kern took it over when it returned in 2013. It has been growing since, now encompassing multiple events throughout the weekend.
This year, Saints Hall of Famer Tyrone Hughes rode as Grand Marshal and entrepreneur Ron Bienvenu reigned as King.
The parade featured more than 600 riders, 16 floats, and 45 marching groups.
