Covington man killed in single-vehicle crash
Police identified the man as 27-year-old Nathan Schroeder of Covington. Louisiana State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in Tangipahoa Parish that left 27-year-old Nathan Schroeder of Covington dead. The crash occurred on LA Highway 40 near LA Highway 445. Schroeder lost control of a 2013 Nissan Sentra and hit a tree, leaving him not wearing a seatbelt. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. A toxicology sample from Schroeder was obtained for analysis.

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. — Louisiana State Police is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash in Tangipahoa Parish that left one man dead Sunday night.
Police identified the man as 27-year-old Nathan Schroeder of Covington. The crash happened on LA Highway 40 near LA Highway 445.
Investigators say Schroeder was driving westbound on LA Hwy 40 in a 2013 Nissan Sentra when for unknown reasons he lost control of the Nissan and struck a tree.
Schroeder was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to police.
"As part of the ongoing investigation, a toxicology sample was obtained from Schroeder for analysis," state police said.
